NOTE: In the Sixth Annual Report of the Trustees and Superintendent of the Indiana State Asylum for the Education of the Deaf and Dumb, to the General Assembly (Indianapolis: State Printer, 1849), William Breg [sic] Jr., third assistant teacher, died in the report year. The exact date was not given. It is noted that he was a graduate of the New York Institution for the Education of the Deaf and Dumb. No student by the name of Berg or Breg appears on the rolls of the Indiana school through 1849.
